Tossing and turning the night before a big day at the office is pretty much inevitable when all you desperately need to do is sleep. But what if you didn’t have to worry about how many hours were left until your alarm went off because you could just nap at work anyway? Swivel chairs don’t exactly scream “comfort”—but the 1.6 S.M. of Life Desk absolutely does.
Greek designer Nancy Leivaditou of Studio NL came up with the idea for this multipurpose piece of furniture while she was studying and working in a cramped New York apartment. It’s made of lacquered wood, metal, and white leather, so it’s simple enough for an office, but still stylish for home. (H/T: House Beautiful)
Sadly, the design is still just a prototype at this point. How exactly does it work? Here’s the piece in desk mode:

To transform it into a bed, just slide the top backwards…

…and fold the back, which acts as the mattress, down. Then, recline the side opposite of the television (because not all breaks have to be for naps when you have to catch up on This Is Us) and get comfy.
