This Modernist Construction was concluded in 1903. Architect: Julián Jaime Garcia Núñez. Garcia Núñez, originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, is not a famous architect in Barcelona. He studied with #lluisdomenechimontaner and left town in 1903. Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, 439.

![Another Puig i Cadafalch stunner! Palau del Baró de Quadras (Casa Àsia) was concluded in 1903 and was commissioned by Baron Manuel de Quadras. Well, Cadafalch actually refurbished it to its current glory. There used to be another, very different, construction in that same spot. The house has a double façade. This is the one facing Diagonal Avenue. I will post about the other façade, facing Rosselló Street, in the future, as it is quite different. The beautifully sculpted grandstand is a prime example of Spanish Neopratelesque style and is the work of Eusebi Arnau and Alfons Juyol. Medieval busts, Renaissance characters, flowers, and garlands complete this magnificent construction. The Pratelesque style (meaning "in the manner of a silversmith") was an artistic movement between the Late Gothic and early Renaissance. It is a modification of Gothic, Mudéjar, Flamboyant Gothic, and Renaissance. The interior is said to have quite heterogeneous areas with neo-gothic touches and neo-Arabian flair. Try and get inside! It is a trip! The Palau (palace) is currently the headquarters of the Institut Ramon Llull.
