House M By Monovolume Architecture + Design:
“Project House M, a stunning modern residential building in the center of Meran, Italy, is embedded in the quiet area of Obermais. The design concept was to play with transparent, solid surfaces that follow fascinating insights and outlooks. The interiors are unique and melt together with the outside space. The terrain flows through the building and finds its renewal in the pool- and meadow area. Because of a refined external design and the pool, lawn, garden, and house arrangement, the whole concept seems like a unity with seamless transition.
Because of engineering technology considerations, the building is conceived as a compact volume with one underground and two upper floors. The ground floor follows the slightly sloping ground like a staircase to get to a large garden area. From the construction point of view, the house is built of concrete and furnished with upgraded insulation. The glass-facade, door, and window elements are executed as three layered glaziers.”
